Chilli Peppers

So Sonic said he had a good time with G&G and G&G; really seems to enjoy those folks and got to catch up with Uncles/Aunts, cousins and the miscellaneous wee ones and westie. Ms. K (we're getting alot of K's on this board!) survived the onslaught and Sonic said she felt right at home, even had an Uncle like M/G (the combination of which boggles my mind but, if true, would definitely prepare her for anything, lol)

Sonic and Ms. K are headed up to South Dakota this weekend for the Sturgis Motorcyle Rally in the Black Hills (both her parents are bikers) and then hiking Devil's Tower and doing some human maze quest. I tasked Sonic with providing us a trip report afterwards. Been thinking about getting a motorcyle again off and on for a few years. Kind of miss them. Just wondering whether my Hamingja has enough reserves to cover me; I've made lots of withdrawals and can't see the balance.

Mew has relocated to his new apartment, sans a little bit of furniture and (Sonic relays) some food(!) We get a little worried about these peppers, at times they will go without food for a few days rather than let us know they are a little short. We sometimes have to check them at the right time with the right questions to ferret this out. So after a worried call today, Mew assured us he has dried food, just missing some fresh foods that he was waiting until Friday for and had some money in reserve that he was hanging on to, so we didn't need to come up and go on a shopping trip with him.

Uhm. It's a weird thing being a parent and not wanting to interfere and simultaneously not wanting your cubettes to experience any unnecessary hardship. So I guess we'll just plump him up this weekend :-) We also got a letter from Mew's doctor that dropped the explicit recommendation that he not join the military (with some pressure from Mew) so he may be trying that tact again. Such complicated feelings, the heart really does "think" quite differently from the head. But I'm also very proud of these guys and totally confident they can both tackle anything they set their minds to.

  1. What assylum is her uncle in? Yeah I miss the motorcycle days...even though i keep it on my license in hope. Maybe we can plan a joint venture in our old age. Those boys are amazing, but you might have to get them to lower the rescue bar a bit..LOL...

I have the same urges for bike. It gets really bad in the spring and fall when the vegitation is changing state and the air is fresh and cool. Summer nights were always amazing too, just watch out for "June" bugs. Hitting one of those on the highway feels like being shot by a .22!

  3. Guess what, you never quit being concerned if your kids have what they need whether they are 6 or 60.
