  3. I saw this a long time ago on the discovery channel... Tao also talks about some monks who they put in a freezer that dried off some cold and wet towels. Makes you wonder if the "magick" from all the old video games was actually real or not :P

    Longest Journey poses some interesting thoughts on that. In the beginning of the first one they talk about how when people had Logic and Spirit they were pretty scary, but the two split apart weren't really that big of a thing.

  4. Ya, I've heard from reputable sources that a common contest in Nepal is for monks to sit outside in the winter wearing just a loincloth and see who can dry the most wet sheets wrapped around them. E.g. Tum-mo

    I tried to reproduce this technique several years ago in the winter. Took a long walk in the snow with a short sleeve shirt and worked on "fire breathing." Indeed my body got very hot, the cold didn't affect me at all, until I actually started to sweat. Then I froze my butt off trying to get back home. I think my technique may be missing some critical element that the monk's know and I don't?
