Where Your Taxes Went
That big honker graph of taxes updated for this year that's fun to navigate on. Shift key to zoom, hold the left mouse button and drag to move the chart around and Ctrl key to zoom out. Biggest climber seems to be "excise taxes" which are what, exactly? And what is the "Millennium Challenge Corporation?" Kind of reminds of those find waldo games for where that dang penny is going, er, I mean 1 trillion dollars. My bad.
Wow! The amazing part to me is the amount of money being spent on INTEREST on the national debt.

The 3 billion spent on millenium corp seems pretty small compared to some of the other stuff..considering its intended scope (http://www.mcc.gov/about/index.php) However I have no inkling of an idea of how effective their work is, in fact, I'm kind of wondering why that didn't go to the Peace Corp or some other agency already doing that kind of work...hmmmm...
